The vehicle is
on a two-wheel
dynamometer
to check
efficiency and
overall
operations.
Note the
movement of
the rear wheels.
Here's its engine compartment in the
rear of the car. It is 100% converted
to electrical power.
This student has designed a new
engine-management program and is
now inputting it into the car,
designing certain parameters for the
engine to operate, such as
performance and economy.
Here's the battery pack housed in a
modified rear compartment. The
electric-vehicle program is an elective
and is five weeks in length. Multiple
vehicles have been converted from
gasoline to electric power. Students
learn a complete understanding of the
operation and diagnostics and design
parameters needed to successfully
build and operate the vehicle.
